Sta Cruz Chapel.
Jojutla, México.
After the devastating earthquake of September 2017, all the colonial heritage of Jojutla was severely damaged or lost.
We had the chance to design and built a little chapel were another was gone, and decided to recreate with modern construction techniques, a reminiscence from the past.
An anchor for the people of this town, to their traditions and heritage.
A place to pause,
step in,
and stop
to find a corner
for a sacred
thought
a crossroad
where the light and silence
meet
and feel how wonder
‑in its stillness-
