Project description
Evidently Lutheran
The new Lutheran church of Piliscsaba, located in an accessible place for the residents of the settlement, advertises the mission statement of the Lutheran Church on the corner of Széchenyi Street and Szent László Street: “Evidently Lutheran.” From a liturgical perspective, it is a unified, central space, with point-like light sources arranged in star shapes on the ceiling, symbolically representing the vault of the entire created world (heaven). However, the planned new church is not just a sacred building but also a community facility providing space for religious education, church conferences, small conferences, and cultural events related to religious life. Externally, it appears as a visible brick-clad, clean, raw cube with minimal architectural elements that do not compete with the surrounding wooded development, yet in its captivating simplicity, it creates its own aura. The large glass surfaces on the gable walls of the roof, with finely articulated wooden lamella structures, humanize nature in such a way that they completely open up to it.
